Sometime ago I read about a movie, the director of which found a box of tapes in a garage sale or something, of a man travelling the world alone, and then made a movie out of those tapes.

I think there are some commentary of the man that I'm less sure about, being:

  • the man have just passed away and his family found out about these tapes, which he previously told no one about
  • the man have no children nor family of his own
  • the man had love prospect in his earlier years, and had given up on finding partner after that one didn't work out

I'm not sure how recent that film is. I recall there being colored tape of a man on a mountain.

Have anyone have seen or heard of this movie? I've been searching for it for an afternoon and no luck, so it could be a bit niche I'd imagine

Following up on this - what a beautiful piece of work this is. Such a rich portrait of the man.

I'm so glad his films found their way to someone who could treat them with such love and respect. Thanks again.
