Lemmy Accessibility (sh.itjust.works)
submitted 5 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) by NotSoSuperDude@sh.itjust.works to c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml

I started using Lemmy around the time of the Reddit exodus. I would like to keep connected to these communities but don't know if that's possible with the upcoming changes with Android.

Currently I'm using the Jeroba app on a Samsung phone. I would love to ditch Android and get a custom rom but don't know if it's worth all the problems of my banking/work apps not working.

When logging on recently I received a message saying that my app will stop working eventually as the developers are not agreeing with the changes. Is there another app that I can use? Should I just access lemmy using an old phone?

Thank you for the help!

I'm only relatively tech savvy but installing GrapheneOS only took me an afternoon and I was able to retain all of my banking, work and map features.

No idea if that will help you make a call but I think this move has for sure shown a need to degoogle.
