MODERATORS
TIL the Monty Python sketch wasn't just an anachronistic joke about contemporary British politics.
The dynamic between the Judean People's Front and the People's Front of Judea probably reflects on all of us at a certain level, and comedians have always been good at putting up a mirror.
Though I have been surprised before at how well-researched some Monty Python skits can be, when younger me only saw a bunch of dorks doing silly things.
My grandma loved the Monty Python cast and always talked about how proud she was that I was getting history degree because "All the Monty Python cast are historians you know!"
Never checked if that was true, but it checks out
The movie director is a historian.
SPLITTERS!
