From what I can tell, very little has changed!

I guess one thing might be that the edges of cut glass are often covered with a closely-cut layer of special foil to better adhere to the solder, which is still commonly made of lead.

Gotta love them 1930s-50s historical recreations, where everyone just styles 1930s-50s hair and (lack of) beard styles. The one closest to us even seems to be using some Dapper Dan in his slicked back hair.
