Dull Men's Club
An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.
1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.
2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.
3. Avoid repetitive topics.
4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.
There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.
Some other communities to consider before posting:
5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.
6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.
7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

Please don't hate me:
Walmart.
Bettergoods tea.
I'm crippled, don't have a car, and they do grocery deliveries.
Presumably there is fancier pantsier loose leaf tea, but this seemed like a decent (?) starting point.
I buy from Walmart. Who cares? Not all of Lemmy are perfectionist lifestyle dweebs. I avoid it when I can, I buy stuff when I can't.
Do what you can and don't hate yourself
Its like the one element of my life where I can't escape hilariously evil capitalism.
Its not that I hate myself, its that I wake up every day furious to be living in this system.
I do give myself grace on things that I just actually cannot find a less evil alternative to, things I cannot go without, without that likely leading to my death.
I know you are trying and that's important, but don't take things too seriously, brother.
You're a good person if you even think about trying to do the right thing. All roads lead to the heat death of the universe.
Enjoy the ride.
If you like it, then it’s a good cup of tea. I think that pretty much any reasonable quality tea, if prepared and enjoyed deliberately, is nice, and the act of making it with an infuser adds to the experience. I like loose leaf and that’s the only kind of tea I buy for myself, but I have to admit I got some really nice teas coming in teabags in restaurants. Coffee is somewhat different, good freshly roasted beans ground immediately before brewing is just not the same beverage that you get when you buy ground coffee.
There are quite some tea shops that would deliver loose leaf tea. If you happen to be in Canada, I can recommend you at least 2 places. Teas in most grocery stores are generally of a lower grade just so they can keep prices low.
if you are in the US (maybe Candada too?) I really like Harney and son's tea.
I will poke around and see if I can find them anywhere nearby!
before you spend too much time looking, i use their online store, I don't know if they are in physical stores anywhere, I've never seen it on shelves.
