No, they really do care.
It happened with the Japanese automakers, and it is happening worldwide with Chinese automakers right now.
And it’s every industry. Not just auto.
Nobody buys American cars unless they are doing it out of patriotism. There is no objective reason to buy a Ford over a Toyota.
If the identical product is made in Peru, people will prefer to buy the Chinese product.
If the product is made for cheaper in Peru, people will still prefer to buy the Chinese product.
It really does not take much critical thought to arrive at this conclusion.
Go ahead, stay in your bubble. It benefits me more anyway.
