I don't know why people think this is indicative of a conspiracy lol. I know people that would get their money's worth in the middle of a warzone lol.

I'll be honest if I were him I'd be like "don't worry the guards'll get him" unless he was in the room. There's no way he was getting anywhere with that plan. Besides I'm probably not the target, if he does get by them I'll hit him with a "he went that-a-way" and slurp, honestly 70/30 I'll be fine.

I'd say that was reasonable. If you heard a lot more gunshots go off, and they seem to be slowly getting louder, then maybe worry... but that's sitting here in my comfortable chair a long ways away from any gunshots...

We don’t really know his target tho, because he was so easily caught. What if he wanted to kill the journalists right in front of his hero Trump as a tribute or something.

[-] WalrusDragonOnABike@reddthat.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

His alleged manifesto specifies his targets in order of highest to lowest priority (Trump being highest, then Vance, and other high ranking official excluding Kash) and the guests were non-targets but if they got killed in the crossfire it wasn't a big deal since they'd go to dinner with a pedo-rapist-murderer.

The manifesto and the actual motive can be two different things

[-] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah sure lol, that's more probable. Gonna go with Occam on this one.

[-] Einskjaldi@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

When there's that many people in a room you have good odds that someone will be in the way in front of you.

[-] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

Nah he'll be shuffling off somewhere surrounded by 6 armed guards, actually running for the exit with him probably puts you in closer proximity.

[-] jaybone@lemmy.zip 13 points 3 weeks ago

Sorry, I thought you said calzone.

Can you fit NorCal and Locale in there too somehow?

[-] CptEnder@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

Lmao yeah staged or not, absolutely this. If he's some foreign correspondent those people don't even flinch at accurate artillery fire. Nothing but respect for war journalists, they're some hard mother fuckers.

The Charlie Kirk assassination was staged because people didn't hesitate before grabbing the bloodied merch, despite, ya know, the assassination.

Nah, that's just typical consumerism you expect in the US.

People's brains are so fried in this country, especially conservatives, it was probably just a lot of dumb assholes who thought "oh if I have a shirt with blood from the assassination it'll be worth millions in a few years!"
