Like??? yeah??? Wer hat uns verraten??? Wer wars denn nun?
edit: since this comment got linked might as well tell you all to fucking read "The german revolution" by Pierre Broue and here the thread where Emopunker took every chance to confirm that fedditors are required by law to be zionists.
hell yeah i pissed them enough that they spun off a thread just for me!
i love hearing about the psychic damage i've inflicted
just cataloguing the charming people that place attracts:
what they got banned for
embarrassing dm i received
Every single time.
You know its a good thread when Cowbee and Diva are in it.
Haha, seems there are plenty of those!
hell yeah it is
What lovely ableism, from the "we're all demsocs, we just tolerate Nazi dogwhistles that Goat has to say stop, and we tolerate ableism and explicit racism too"
jokes on them, i don't even take adderall, i'm just like this au natural
The person that dm'd you that dumb shit somehow managed to turn the response thread into a circular firing squad lmao
i would hope at least some of them start to question why they are so often surrounded by transphobes. not going to hold my breath though
That would require a moment of self-reflection, which is like pulling teeth to people like this
They certainly are not, bringing up nutomic to deflect (despite his opinions clearly not impacting moderation here) and blaming secret hexbear infiltrators rather than reflect on why they find themselves surrounded by people like that.
@TanteRegenbogen@feddit.org the people you hang out with are fine with calling trans women degenerate roaches and receive no moderation in that space
why are you surprised when that attracts people who think misgendering is okay?
"We don't support transphobia here, except we are currently supporting transphobia"
Hey @TanteRegenbogen@feddit.org kindly go fuck yourself. You're a transphobe who posts in a Nazi table community.
You keep getting so angry at people documenting your actions in the Nazi bar, and your words being used against you.
Maybe just remove the posts while also starting a harassment campaign like your admin buddies? You'll feel guilt free for it, like before.
like clockwork, they finally caught a rule 1 (temp) instance ban and there's a cm0000002 post rending their garments about how it's "bigotry" to speak ill of lemmy.ml.
like bruh the rule 1 ban is probably more related to this activity. the i report i made probably just showed up for the .ml admins too:
Transphobia is good enough it's anti-communist enough, only commies support gender identity!
MWoG keeps exposing themselves and thinks it's actually .ml being evil not tolerating transphobia.
cm0002 is now the admin of lemy.lol
https://lemy.lol/u/cm0002
Lol
Two things can be true at once! Just because the banned user was a transphobe who deserved the ban, that in no way lessens the absolute travesty of injustice of banning them! In fact, it's worse to ban people who deserve bans, somehow!
They never let a little thing like reality get in the way of their two-minutes hate, do they?
Oh that's the user that asked about ttrpg because they needed a new instance.... Because no one likes their behavior but maybe they'll join sjw?
love too collect identities and then use them to axiomatically prove how right I am
No man worked as hard to bring about fascism in Germany than Friedrich Ebert. Not even the Nazis themselves.
the Tankie Tetrahedron has 4 faces, each with 3 sides
4 faces: engels, marx, stalin, mao
3 sides: thesis, antithesis, synthesis
these 12 lines make up the foundation of a unifying social theory:

If you take a step back from the meme, it's even more accurate because who in their right mind would trust Shawn Michael's?
I think nearly any discussion of 1920s Germany at this point is getting lost in the sauce. I don't think anything about that context carries any weight with most people outside of internet political forums. Even if you educate someone about the context and convince them your take on it is correct, you still have to climb the mountain of "and how does that relate to today?" And while there are some parallels, there are a lot of enormous differences.
If someone brings up Weimar Germany, the best response is usually "cool, back to Iran/Palestine/ICE..." rather than jumping down into the weeds with them.
disagree, the war credits debate that led to the split is almost beat for beat like the pissrael funding and the fallout should tell people why people need to split the dem party. Or applied to germany the rearmament movement and eu-army sentiments that are springing up left and right.
Edit: we again have a pre-revolutionary russia, europes contradictions sharpening and eyeing an attack to the east, we are gonna see a repeat of the tragedy of the 1910s (as a farce?) and better know about the fallout like luxemburg said
emphasis me
Because we're skipping past this part to the "here's how it's relevant to today" part, I want to again emphasize that educating someone about the internal party dynamics of the Weimar Republic and convincing them your take is correct is a herculean task in its own right. This is reasons 1-100 of why delving into this topic is a poor way of convincing anyone of anything.
But assume you've educated me on all the context and I agree with you about who's at fault for what in 1920s Germany. When trying to apply that to today you still run into huge points of disagreement like:
The comparison adds more complexity rather than clarifies, and it opens up a dozen theoretical rabbit holes to get lost in.
I guess I see your point, I was reading it as a german with a german perspective and
might as well be a pitcure of me while reading it (I never got around to finish it sadly). Although a lot of people probably will not agree with me that the parallels are as self-evident I guess.
Also just to clarify the book starts in the 1910s and goes through WW1 up until 1923, not that it makes a difference for your point.
