Treadmill Kinematics is the first rigorous investigation to quantify the biomechanics of treadmill exercise conditions during long duration space flight on the station.

In skylab they went full-on "2001 A Space Odyssey", running round their ring of storage lockers.

Instead of a revolving station, their circular path meant that they were always having to "push up" on each step, having much the same effect, since they were accelerating themselves towards the center.
