That’s due to the difference in electoral system. European systems tolerate more, and smaller, parties which can more freely deviate from the mainstream political line. In the US there is a stronger regression to the mean due to the two-party system. Doesn’t mean the same fascists don’t exist in the US. Never underestimate this land’s ability to churn out religious or sectarian fanatics.

Furthermore the US politicians dont care about Mussolini or Hitler really. The domestic “issues” of European fascists do not matter to American fascists beyond their common interest. There are plenty of US presidents who deserve recognition as genocidal fascists, who are not recognized as such, and who are openly admired by US politicians today. The equivalent to European admiration of Mussolini is American admiration of Jackson, Washington, the Bushes, and so on.
