Her entire family was deported to Siberia, including her mother at only 6 months old, her grandmother, and great grandmother. I have been looking for a source with the inclusion of accusations/proof against her grandfather but haven't located one yet.
I'm against the framing of what happened in Soviet Controlled Eastern Europe as a "Double Genocide," but let's not conflate the collective punishment and ethnic cleansing that did occur with the justified actions taken against legitimate targets.
