Diaspora very often have no idea what is actually going on inside the country they emigrated from, and moreover, their interests are often contrary to the interests of their former country. Diaspora should not be listened to or allowed to have a say in the affairs of a country they no longer live in.

And i say this as someone who is also part of a diaspora. It is ridiculous that, if i wanted to, i could vote in the elections of a country that i have not lived in for decades. The first thing that countries which want sovereignty should do is take the vote away from their diaspora, else they will wreck everything.
