MODERATORS
Im already seeing what i don't want to see from reddit on lemmy, extreme toxicity and hate fueled by politics, but from the reverse side of reddit. I've really just given up entirely on the concept of the fediverse, it's not helping people become kinder either. But at least it's not designed that way, i think people are used to what social media has been that they bring it over here. I think a lot of the nice people have been overwhelmed on lemmy by a lot of angry people. I don't know. The fediverse feels like a failed experiment but at the same time. I would think eventually people will stop bringing the mentalities theyve had for a long time on the internet here, but it will take time.
Maybe someday ill have a permanent account on a fediverse platform.
