The Miata/MX5 is the Rodney Dangerfield of cars - it just don't get no respect.
Friend had a Gen1 with a supercharger - terrifyingly fast car.
I'd love to have an early one for modding, and a current MX5 because it looks so damn good.
There is a company called Flying a Miata's out here that I used to laugh at. Who modifies Miata's? Until a few handed me my lunch without effort. Now I want one.
Sadly CO regulations have made it so I can't buy one from them. They sold that part of the business out east and I don't even think the cars pass CO emissions anymore.
