๐ฎ๐ท/๐ฎ๐ฑ๐บ๐ธ โ As for the reason behind the assassination of the martyred leader Ali Larijani, it is clear; however, the accompanying assassination of the Basij (Mobilization) commander and the targeted strikes within Iran in recent days tell another story.
This clearly confirms Israel's relentless efforts and its preparation for a ground offensive from outside Iran, synchronized with an opposition movement, given the significant and previously successful roles of Larijani and Ghulam Reza Soleimani (the Basij commander) in managing the Iranian street and maintaining control over domestic affairs.
My AnalysisPersonally I don't entirely agree with this line of argument. I think Israel is undeniably trying to foment unrest within Iran, but a ground offensive seems like a desperate option. They will probably try at some point with some regional asset but who I'm not to sure. Azerbaijan is kicking up a fuss but I doubt Aliyev is genuinely that stupid as to try and invade. The US might try to land on Kharg but that's a doomed plan in many different respects. I just think that Israel is desperately trying to spark an uprising with whatever remaining assets they have, and the only way to do that is to kill off as many high ranking IRGC/Basiji elements as possible.
I agree with your line of thinking. Ground invasion from outside probably wont happen and if it does it is going to be a massacre of the invaders. Even with the old commanders gone there are too many Iranians ready to fight back.
Iran's martyred leaders have explained the Mosaic Defense structure they have established. The resistance in Gaza, Ansarallah, and Hezbollah have show how this structure works in practice. Iran and the others in the Axis of Resistance built this systems together. Any person in the military who hasn't figured this out is not paying attention. The level of incompetence required to be this ignorant means they would fail even if they had 10x the resources the will have.
None of the collaborationist militias in the region are that stupid. If they were they would have been eliminated years ago.
