At the heart of the system is a compact blockchain protocol developed by the technology company Minima. Each device participating in the network runs a complete blockchain node, allowing it to independently store and verify data. Although the data remains locally stored on each device, all participants in the network can validate the records, which ensures that the information cannot be secretly modified or erased.

Cool use of the technology.

It is actually

I just feel like the article could've done the idea a lot more justice by focusing on the technology part of this. The sources failed to as well. Both ignored what was interesting and chased the buzzwords.

It does not seem that the "network" described matters at all and frankly it shouldn't. 100 drones 100mi apart are useless if they are dependent on one another to log and build trust in that log.

This system is cool in that a local "blockchain" builds trust overtime. Just like how you trust a pilot with 1 hour of time far less than a pilot with 1,000,000 hours of flight time (pretty sure that the second pilot is untrustworthy... due to death... BUT let's pretend lord Elon and the AI douches have done it and replaced him).

Article was just incredible wanky
