Donald Trump’s Presidency Is in Free Fall
(newrepublic.com)
Welcome to Progressive Politics! A place for news updates and political discussion from a left perspective. Conservatives and centrists are welcome just try and keep it civil :)
(Sidebar still a work in progress post recommendations if you have them such as reading lists)
Trump is a symptom not the disease
The symptoms are what kill you
Do you think Just Dance Vance will be better?
Okay, will the current Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, be any better?
Not him. Okay, maybe the next guy: President pro tempore of the Senate, Chuck Grassley.
No? How about the next guy: Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
No? How about Scott Bessent? Pete Hegseth? Pam Bondi? If you go far enough down fucking RFK Jr is in line for succession! The rot in this government is deep. That's why we say Trump is merely a symptom.
~~This post no longer makes sense without the context of our conversation.~~
🤷♀️
He could drop dead tomorrow and the decline would continue
It might fail at a slightly decreased rate without his orange influence
Who better to lead us in these failing times than the self-proclaimed King of Bankruptcy?
Unlikely. Don't let Great Man Theory affect your analysis.
Orange man theory is that all his sycophants think he's their ticket to riches and without him they'll squabble and eat each other to each be on top
So, Great Man Theory
There's nothing great about him
Are you 12?
Your behavior seems to suggest you're a particularly arrogant child. I have no further interest in responding to your pointless comments, and I have blocked you.
"Arresting the decline into apocalyptic fascism is irrelevant, my personal parasocial hatred of Orange Man is what is important"
No one here is "defending Trump", dumbass.
Agreed.
Breathes*
Remember, the e on the end sounds like eeeeee. Without it, it ends in h and sounds like ehhhhh
UNFORTUNATELY, you don't spell breathing breatheing, because you get rid of the e on the end when adding ing. English is certainly a language.
I once thought people who corrected spelling without being asked were just pompous twits. Then I read a paper that explained how people with low reading comprehension have trouble parsing sentences with spelling errors, so now I feel sorry for them.
Yikes. Sorry.
