That takes a back seat to two other driving forces.

  1. Feeling emasculated by the beginnings of the fruition of women’s lib, this legal equality thing chafing so hard they want a rollback to mommy mode.

  2. Manipulated displacement of blame for the oppression of billionaires. Distraction from the 40 year class war.
