My group mostly only uses discord for video chat during D&D. Is there a recommended alternative? We don't use ANY of the other features. I'm looking into jitsi now.
Element w. Element call is ok. Signal works too
now its another thing to determine whether a server you are looking at has set up support for Element call, or is still on the older calling method not supported by the new apps...
Matrix (what some call element, element is a matrix client) has end to end video conferencing and is decentralized like Mastodon
Haven't used it for a few years, but Jitsi was great if all you need is video chat
I used to use https://talky.io/ before discord.
This is what I and others I know use it for as well. Virtual dnd for one or two while the rest of us are in person.
