And that's him being fair to these people by not even arguing lies like "100% are here illegally, why did they not file the paperwork?" when if he really wanted to he could press that point, that the ICE have detained legal immigrants and have detained people going to immigration hearings and have pressured immigration courts to deny citizenship to people. The Trump admin has even issued an executive order to ignore birthright citizenship, outlined in the 14th amendment to give citizenship to slaves after the end of the civil war.
The ICE can and will go after anyone they want, legal or not, citizen or not.
