General Discussion Thread - Juche 115, Week 6
(thelemmy.club)
This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.
See this GitHub page for a collection of sources about socialism, imperialism, and other relevant topics.
This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.
We have a Matrix homeserver and a Matrix space. See this thread for more information. If you believe the server may be down, check the status on status.elara.ws.

My Spanish is getting better every day, and I'm grateful for it. It's mainly because I'm consuming a lot of Spanish language content. I'm watching Pablo Escobar: el patrón del mal on Netflix (which is a good show), and get a lot of Spanish Instagram reels on my feed lately. And because of this, I catch myself thinking in Spanish more. The key to language learning is to expose yourself to the language daily. It's the same way a lot of us learned English.
That's great, I'm glad it's going well for you! I've also been teaching myself Spanish and have been really enjoying the process of learning it.
I agree that it helps a lot to immerse yourself in the language. So in addition to Duolingo lessons daily, I've been reading news websites completely in Spanish (TeleSur in particular), reading short stories on https://www.fluentwithstories.com/, and have a browser extension called Toucan that changes many of the words on webpages into Spanish.
Telesur is great! I've also been reading news from Spain, Público and El Diario. They are the most left wing news publications in Spain
