Is New Zealand part of the mutilations and genocide? I think it's been a while since we've done that at scale.
Look mate you can be in hell with us if you really want
I mean the Māori wars may be over a century old but you could count that towards both mutilations and genocide
You guys also were the main set for multiple scenes in LOTR which has depictions of mutilations.
Personally I feel like creating a new circle for Aotearoa and labelling it “Prehistoric” would be fitting since many living things on the islands are species that died out everywhere else after the continents split.
A more humorous label to fit with the others could be “Weird birds” since the avian diversity on the islands includes the Kakapo, the Kiwi, and the Kea parrot, all of which are birds that show up in memes
That's why I had the qualifier of "recently" haha, we are a colony after all.
That's pretty fitting. People can decide if it applies to our dinosaurs, our scenery, our fauna, our flora, or our government.
I feel like it's objectively more correct to either include Aotearoa under "penguins" (given that a couple species of penguin basically only exist on the islands), or to include Antarctica under "weird birds",
