Fleeing tiktok --> Instagram/Snapchat as first port-of-call. Almost every tiktok user will have one or both of those
Fleeing tiktok, Instagram or Snapchat and seeking a new SM --> Reddit
Fleeing Reddit (or Twitter) ---> fediverse. I'm actually not sure how else anyone would discover the fediverse unless they A) are highly conscious of digital privacy, B) follow a creator who gives it a shout out, or perhaps C) are very into forums (they would probably try Reddit first)
In my opinion, both :). You telling people that Lemmy exists is organic slow growth unless you do it on a YouTube channel to many many people all at once.
