Without knowing the methodology under which the analysis was done, we can't really say for sure, can we? Forensic identification can be done that identifies bullets to their manufacturers based on their unique elemental signatures for example. I'm sure the Iranian military is capable of performing such forensic investigations and would have familiarity with Israeli weapons compositions. But I'm just some guy on the internet, so who can say.
You don't even need to do forensics on the bullets. IMI headstamps on the casings would be a big clue. To think Israel wouldn't be actively working towards destabilizing Iran from the inside is absolutely asinine.
Oh I agree. I didn't bother addressing headstamps because it seemed likely someone would just say "Well what if they didn't have the casings!" You're right though, the casings would have a makers mark on them and that would be enough to ID them.
