I'm not looking forward to the fallout when it does eventually happen, but I'm shocked that
has not happened yet
I mean the odds are pretty good, more guns than people, eventually.
I mean we just had a guy shoot a HealthCare ceo in middle of the street, and a guy shoot 2 Israeli diplomats in broad daylight somethings bound to happen
Italy's "Years of Led" seems to rhyme with our current moment. When you consider all the domestic terror of the 90s, the political assassinations (or attempts there of) of the 60s to the 80s, and every school shooting since Columbine, it's hard not to see. The reason it rhymes is that thus far, there hasn't really be genuine leftwing terror. Maybe that's because of how effective the state is at squashing true left wing thought, or maybe it's because of that history, left wing people in the country know it's a death sentence.
It's a death sentence currently.
'just' being a year and a third, and 3/4 of a year ago respectively, not to discount your point
