Sure but there's not exactly a cacophony of world leaders demonstrating their human decency rught now is there.

UK (and Australia) are long standing allies of the US, with complex economic and military ties.

Say what you will about that relationship, but it shouldn't be surprising that the UK PM'S response is measured.

No one's surprised that the UK, Australia, etc. are upholding imperialism, the point is that that's bad.
