Ok, i maybe wrong but I think... Hear me out... I think he may be lying about his age. I don't think ~~moths~~ human males live to be 23 years old.
I think they mean 23 days. Never assume you know the units. It can lead to a lot of trouble. Ask me how I know.

Someone told me. Oh, wait... Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest I know it from personal experience. I am a polite boy and I always ask about other people's units.
