It's easier to say "it wasn't Covid" and blame something else than it is to somehow ignore that your Healthcare is gone when you go broke and can't afford your medicine. There's really nothing else you can blame it on. Now, they may blame the cause on democrats or something, but they can't really ignore the effect.
