Extreme levels of cope that the actual bourgeois use to push for austerity and excuse labor exploitation the world over. There are even people who believe that depression is a 1st world problem (they don't know about 3rd world countries suicide rates).

It's also such a baby-brained way of looking at it. Poor people and people of color, the ones with significantly reduced access to Healthcare and who are largely distrustful of medical professionals because their "care" is often abusive, have lower rates of certwin mental illnesses than white people, that's true.
This somehow confirms that mental illness is a "white person" thing, and not that these people are rawdogging life while enduring mental illness on top of the trauma of living in a capitalist, white supremacist society.
It's that meme of how the rates of mental illness and suicide have increased due to modern society. No, the rates of reported mental illnesses and suicides have increased. Very different from the true rates under the ideal conditions that everyone has the maximum level of access to healthcare.
