A place to share screenshots of Microblog posts, whether from Mastodon, tumblr, ~~Twitter~~ X, KBin, Threads or elsewhere.
Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.
RULES:
- Your post must be a screen capture of a microblog-type post that includes the UI of the site it came from, preferably also including the avatar and username of the original poster. Including relevant comments made to the original post is encouraged.
- Your post, included comments, or your title/comment should include some kind of commentary or remark on the subject of the screen capture. Your title must include at least one word relevant to your post.
- You are encouraged to provide a link back to the source of your screen capture in the body of your post.
- Current politics and news are allowed, but discouraged. There MUST be some kind of human commentary/reaction included (either by the original poster or you). Just news articles or headlines will be deleted.
- Doctored posts/images and AI are allowed, but discouraged. You MUST indicate this in your post (even if you didn't originally know). If an image is found to be fabricated or edited in any way and it is not properly labeled, it will be deleted.
- Absolutely no NSFL content.
- Be nice. Don't take anything personally. Take political debates to the appropriate communities. Take personal disagreements & arguments to private messages.
- No advertising, brand promotion, or guerrilla marketing.

So, in the first image the guy is wearing a ton of makeup and likely photoshopped on top of that. Second one is just a random picture of a real person. Relax folks, there are real reasons to make fun of these people, their looks are but the very tippity tip top of the iceberg.
Are you saying we should be compassionate about the way we mock fascists? I generally don't condone making fun of the way people look, but this is an exception I'm absolutely willing to make and it also doesn't stop us from mocking anything else about them. And no, none of us should relax. You should probably get off that high horse before you catch a nose bleed though.
Not OP and mocking fascists is AOK in my book. But to OPs point it is quite an ignorant way to do it and would backfire.
Like this is clearly a filtered photo vs an unfiltered photo. If you showed this to a neutral or someone on the right and said, "haha see how MTG ruins her husband", you would be giving them ammo to discredit you in future conversations because they know for a fact you are being dishonest here.
okay but the thing is, nobody on the right gives a fuck if you are honest or not. playing fairly gets you nothing.

People can do whatever they want. I'm just pointing out the obvious. There you go with some violence because I didn't use the words you liked. Big man talking tough through a screen, I'm shaking in my boots. Low hanging fruit in my opinion, but sure, waste your time on me while your country sinks into despair. At least you get to feel tough online, eh?!

i think that what gets me about this, and yeah, eat the rich and whatnot, but this is coming at me as a person who cam be yr angle or ur deebil depending on lighting and how hard that weekend needed to hit, but yeah to everyone else too, fuck that guy

Because people lie all the time, especially politicians and TV personalities. All the people you see on TV don't look like that when they are home. Well, maybe some of them do. They all paint their faces to appeal to you.
And that should be immune from mockery because…?
