There's something nice about seeing a train goes fast over a long curve from one city to another.

Not being able to directly edit the cities is a bit frustrating, but it's still a nice game.

It's a great game. Offers a lot of room for creativity and interesting designs.

You can actually edit the cities, but it costs a lot.

It's definitely more of a logistics management game, with city-building being relatively simple (and that's fine).

I've upgraded some roads in one of the cities, the buildings got destroyed, most of them haven't been rebuilt yet, is there something else I can do, or do I just have to wait?

They'll get rebuilt. You can accelerate this process by delivering goods and expanding passenger transport networks.
