I consistently water down my monsters with sparkling water. It adds some fizz which I find lacking in the original, dilutes the overbearing flavor and makes the glass last longer. I usually sip on it through the morning.

Actual athletes would never touch a monster lol (I think they tone down the fizz so that it looks more like a sports drink), but I don't drink coffee but still enjoy caffeine in the morning to wake up. So it's usually either a monster or mate.

Huh. I might get one then to try it out. I thought it was just the original but sugar-free. What about the original black and green can?

it doesn't have that red bull funk but it's got its own syrupy abstract """fruit""" flavor, I like it but I've also had people say it smells like medicine, ymmv

the black/blue can is the one that's just Diet Original, the white can is a different flavor

As someone who drinks to many Energy drinks. Various Monster flavours taste pretty different from classical Energy drinks . Some of them really taste more like Sodas.
