That's true (I am here after all), my point was that the Lemmy devs' tankie position is a liability for the growth of federated networks.

Not everyone is going to be spending time to understand the details and nuances.

Lemmy under the current devs (especially Dessalines) will never see string growth.

Dessalines is too busy banning people for daring to say that North Korea has a bad government to do any coding.

Have to agree.

That .ml is so closely tied to development (and previously the first landing space) is problematic, there were a bunch of people asking if donations were purely to dev or if they supported the .ml servers at all as well, because they didnt want to provide any financial support to .ml.

And thats even aside from precisely the issue you mention.

I really think its one of the bigger reasons behind all the piefed support.
