So while the actual picture of the evangelicals praying over it appears to be made up, the statue is real and the evangelicals who reject the teachings of Jesus for Trump ARE idolaters in the Biblical sense.

Its splicing the golden idol from cpac however many years ago and an image of them blessing the real trump in the white house (or somewhere) from his first term.

Ohh, good catch! I hadn't looked at it closely, but now I see it. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll include that next time I share it because I didn't the first time in another post. We don't need any more misinfo out there.

My thoughts exactly. The message is right and true, but it's being conveyed by parody, not historical record. Presenting it as something that literally happened will undermine its effectiveness. In the right context, it makes the point very well, just like most memes.
