Electrify Expo is an electric vehicle festival, coming to the Seattle area (Marymoor Park in Redmond) this Saturday.

The problem: Tesla is one of the exhibitors, and as I'm sure you've heard, the company is one of the major financial engines funding Elon Musk's special brand of tech bro fascism. And now he's starting his own national political party, as if all the damage he did with DOGE wasn't enough.

What we can do: Electrify Expo hasn't responded to multiple letters asking them to kick Tesla out (like at least one other auto show has done), so there's going to be a giant Tesla protest at the expo.

If we can put pressure on Electrify Expo like this, they'll hopefully think twice about hosting a brand aligned with fascism. And Tesla sells thousands of vehicles via Electrify Expos every year, so we can maybe put a dent in that too.

I know folks on Lemmy are often detractors of performative protests that don't have concrete demands attached. This is not one of those protests. There's a very real chance of making an impact here, so I encourage you all to come.
