It didn’t occur to me that I could just replace the thermal paste in the original switch. I have everything I’d need to do that already but I just didn’t think about.

I’m always annoyed at how it performs when I’m playing Stardew Valley, of all things.

If you can (and are brave enough) it's worth also replacing the thermal paste under the heat spreader. It gave me a decent boost. I made a post about it here if you'd like to know more.
