I found a video online that I want to watch. The trouble is, it's on facebook and it says you need an account to watch it. So I tried to sign up to facebook, but when it gets to a certain stage in the process it says:

**Confirm your identity with a video selfie

To make sure that you're a real person, we need you to record a video selfie. We'll ask you to move your head during the recording to help us capture your face at different angles.**

What the hell? Is it me, or does this seem insanely sinister? what do they want this for?

i had to do that shit on a .gov website to apply for an apartment and file my taxes because someone tried to steal my identity and file for me
