We don't always lose. As bad as the political situation is now, it's still better than the late 1800s, and even that was better than fuedalism. "Winning" is going to require the (unsexy) building of resilient systems without glaring weak points.

Every time we try representatives and fail, or try a vanguard party and fail, we learn a little bit more about what doesn't work.

Where did you hear that Christianity is making a comeback with Gen Z? I'm not sure that's true.
