This looks more like two greeks fighting. I don't think the persians used the eyes on the front of their ship. That was a greek thing.
When I reverse image searched it, I got several suggestions, but most seemed to point towards it being a depiction of the Battle of Salamis (though there were some other Greek naval battles suggested) between the Persians and Greeks. Absent compelling evidence to the contrary, and the fact that I'm definitely not well-educated on Greek or Persian ship decoration of the period, I'm keeping the title as-is for now.
I’m not a historian or anything just a history nerd. The Greeks put those eyes on their ships to ward off evil. They’re called apotropaic eyes.
Definitely don’t change the title because I absolutely could be wrong.
