Just a community for everyone to share artifacts, reconstructions, or replicas for the historically-inclined to admire!
Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

Another aspect of the association of salamanders with fire is that they sometimes hibernate in rotted wood. Movement generally doesn't disturb them too much, but being tossed on a fire will result in the poor fellows scurrying out - giving the appearance that they 'came' from the fire. Similarly, as they're cold blooded, they're generally not warm to the touch, giving the further idea that they are in some way 'immune' to that same fire.
