I don't know my exact time, because I accidentally closed the page after I solved the crossword but before I solved the anagram, so had to redo it... But somewhere between 2:48 and 10:52 lol.
I did end up using Google because I didn't know what 2 across could possibly be..
but
then it ended up being a pretty simple acronymThe anagram had me puzzled at first, but I saw a good hint in the puzzle title and was able to fill it in quickly after that!
Edit because I posted before I was done typing oops.
2 across is exactly what I didn't love, but was hoping that after enough letters had been solved, it might be possible to see what was going on there! I always try to ensure there is a maximum of 1 of those in any given puzzle, but the ideal number is 0 until there is the ability to opt in to those sorts of niches. However, those larger grids are significantly harder to solve on my end, and so was curious how allowing one "technically a thing" word in would be received!
