I don't think that they're obscure. If you asked me to name a major, non-state-run English-language mainland European news source, it'd be in the top three to come to my mind: Euronews, Euractiv, and EU Observer (with the last focusing on stuff in Brussels; maybe a better source for the [email protected] community).

They featured prominently on /r/Europe back when I followed it.

"Obscure" means nebulous, not clearly visible, of unclear origin. So, if you're arguing their obscurity, who exactly are euronews? What are their sources, who are their correspondents, who's financing them, what is their business address or business model? I've wondered about that quite for a while but there's nothing to find except their data brokering service which seems good evidence that they are not what they claim to be: a news organization. So what exactly are they if not obscure?

Let me wikipedia that for you.

"left-center" is likely to be US brainrot, though, everything left of Nixon is far-left to them.

I didn't even care about that as much as about their obscurity. But it seems people here are too damned stupid to understand what "obscure" means in case of a news outlet. Makes me wonder a lot less how people are falling for fake/manipulative news or "corporate communications".

Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they're obscure. They were even broadcasting over the air back when that was still relevant.

Do you know them? Who's editor in chief? Can you answer any of the questions I'va asked above? Did you read it?

So, the breakdown of their ownership on the about page that links from the front page is not enough to answer some of your questions?

No, exactly that's what I mean by "obscure". An investment group is not a publisher nor a news agency, not even a media group. When it comes to publishingh that's just obscure. It's almost the definition of an obscure media outlet.
