Currently Lemmy has a decent selection of communities and nearly any post gets a good traction, you easily find yourself in convos and can recognise others if you frequent enough
I don't think this would be the case for long if Lemmy got big, maybe 10% of Reddit is enough
But maybe because of how Lemmy is maintained, instances like beehaw might defederate, again allowing for smaller communities
I don't know, I really like where Lemmy is tbh, bit iffy on the .world situation, donated a bit, Lemmy is nice. Yeah. Lemmy is nice. I like Lemmy.
same thing, on the reddit due to a shadowban im not keen on making another account in a different locations, consider how much shadowbanning is going on right now and how reddits filters are extremely sensitive right now+ the subreddit filters you have to deal with as well, i visited the shadowban sub its so pervasive now, peoples old 5+years accounts are getitng trashed by the filters which uses AI.
the problem that reddit has lemmy has it as well, the politics/news subs, and communities same people that misconstrued your comments and receive a ban on reddit will do it here too, which makes me think its the same type of people.
there are nich subs i visit there that are not on lemmy at all.
