Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Clair Obscur threw a Phoenix Down on my inner child and casted Curaga on it
Edit: sp
I can't wait to play this, but I refuse to buy digital copies. You can't find a physical copy of this game anywhere!
I totally understand your concerns. It's unfortunate
Completely agree. Been playing it every chance I get for the last 2 weeks (except Wednesday, those are Andor days). Absolutely phenomenal game!
Now if FFX could get a remake and have similar mechanics, that'd be great.
Is it that good? I threw it on my wishlist but haven't come back around to it.
The last really excellent RPG I played was Metaphor: ReFantazio, any opinions on how it stacks up against that? Because M:RF is legitimately excellent and I still need to go finish that. But Clair Obscura has been grabbing my attention recently...
Idk, maybe my opinion doesn't matter, I have never played M:RF. CO has really gotten me though. The characters are likeable and mature. They act like mature adults, not teenagers. They have disagreements but they talk it out and move on. I feel like I know them. I'd get along with them and they'd like me too
The combat is completely crazy and new and looks and plays amazingly well. It feels so fresh (note: I don't play Soulslike games in general, so I don't know if my opinion means anything anyway).
I recommend it. There's a little jank like the lip-sync is not good (I assume the original voice work was in French). But at the end of the day it just doesn't matter. It's that good
Well, I bought it. I had the day off work and just recently refunded the new Doom because it won't even let me launch it without RTX support, so I figured I'd give CO a go. It's now six and a half hours later and I'm thoroughly hooked. This might be one of the best RPGs I've ever played. The characters are quite good and I'm a big fan of the AP system meaning that running out of MP on your wizard isn't really a problem you deal with like in other JRPGs (looking at you Final Fantasy - elixirs are not a suitable bandaid for a bad MP economy).
I am finding the timing for parries to be a little bit bullshit but dodges are forgiving enough that I've been getting by.
I just picked up the third party member and exited her area back to the world map if that gives you a good idea where I'm at without being spoilery. Thanks for the recommendation!
Awesome, so glad to hear it! I started quite recently too, and get limited playtime, so I'm not too far ahead of you.
In case you hadn't run into this info yet: the Parry timing is twice as fast as the Dodge timing. You should start with Dodge for new enemies, and learn their moveset. When you get a "Perfect" Dodge, that means it was good enough for you to Parry. So when you get Perfect Dodge pretty consistently, you know that enemy enough to start using Parry.
Hope we both keep on enjoying it! It's doing things for me no AAA game has in years!
