No offense, but I’m not trying to change your mind. I’ve been convinced you’re pretty content in your perspective for quite some time now. It’s about how your words influence others that concerns me. Most people are passively informed. If all they hear is Democrats are useless, they’re less likely to believe voting matters.

Didn’t think so. That’s how fucked we are. I’ve been trying to find a way out for months.

And if the democrats don’t want people to think they’re useless they should stop being so fucking useless.

It's cute you think our fuckededness is just a matter of politics. We've painted our entire species into so many corners we have to be living in 11 dimensional space to hold them all.

And the worst part isn't the problems, it's that all the tools we have to fix the problems are broken and/or insufficient to solve them.

We are fucked on a global scale and there is no way out.

As for what the Democrats could do: Maybe don't schedule a vote for when a Senator isn't going to be around, and then don't call losing said vote a "win."

They’ll lose any simple majority votes in full attendance. They’ve only shut down supermajority votes, like the SAVE Act on Friday.

I agree the planet is fucked, and humanity’s demise is a question of when and how, and certainly not if. I don’t see a vote, a violent revolution, or quiet subservience changing that.

And now you're just as hopeless as I am. All this talk of politics is rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

Nah. I’m aware of ways we can slow the sinking and make for less suffering along the way. You can worry about deck chairs. Lol

Again: The tools we have to slow the sinking and limit suffering have been failing me my entire life, and that failure is accelerating.

You're wasting your time trying to bail with a dixie cup.
