News and Discussions about Reddit

Welcome to !reddit. This is a community for all news and discussions about Reddit.

The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rules

Rule 1- No brigading.

**You may not encourage brigading any communities or subreddits in any way. **

YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things.

Rule 2- No illegal or NSFW or gore content.

**No illegal or NSFW or gore content. **

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here. This includes using AI responses and summaries.

MODERATORS

Did reddit actually tell you what content of yours earned a perm suspension or is everyone just assuming what got them banned based on their last content?

Only thing I got was "multiple repeated rule violations" a message you get if you're caught ban evasion site wide, except I've been never been suspended. Never been warned several times, only once. I didn't see any comments of mine with "removed" or "removed by reddit." I even checked each subreddit I posted in and then checked those on my main account using browser app and could still see the mod list. I've never been banned from any subreddit on my alt.

If I were to go by last content I posted, it was in a thread about Sesame Street old shows and I wrote i used to watch old episodes on Noggin from the 70s and it was always fascinating seeing what life was like then, especially what child car seats looked like then.

No way would this comment violate reddit sitewide rules.

My main account only got banned because it got seen as a ban evasion by a bot because I was logged into it along with my alt but it happened hours apart. But my alt wasn't a ban evasion.

So whatever messages I got about violations were never recieved because it wasn't my account reddit bots think are mine that possibly got linked to mine due to hotel wi fi and the ban took place two weeks after and I hear connected accounts being banned can happen days or a week apart or a couple weeks apart. It's a matter of the bot catching them so I think hotel wi fi had something to do with it whatever reddit team was doing so it caused ban waves of many accounts in February and March.

Apparently I was "violent"

I said "bad bot" to someone who was justifying Elmo's nazi salutes, their comment history was full of "Russia aren't doing anything wrong" and Trump fanboy stuff

Permanently banned across my accounts
