It's not BS. It is the inevitable consequences of FPTP voting. In my riding the PCs have skyrocketed in popularity, as demonstrated in the last provincial election earlier this year, and so if I don't want a conservative winning our seat I MUST vote the previously well established incumbent despite wanting to vote Green.
...and by taking the vote away from the Green party you're ultimately leading to their dissolution and lack of effort in finding candidates for Conservatives ridings.
Which is something I've already been seeing as the Greens failed to enlist a candidate for my riding despite me wanting to give my vote and volunteer time
Yes, well the alternative is the conservatives win and THAT is BS. Your issue is with FPTP, not strategic voting.
Alright then, have fun "strategically" voting for parties that have showcased a lack of interest in fixing that issue then.
Frankly Trudeau failing to make good on his campaign promise do fix FPTP should have caused riots. In the meantime I'll live with myself so long as the PC's lose.
