I think "admit" is the wrong word here. Is it implying that someone knows they're wrong but won't admit it (calling them a liar)?
Why not just say, "You weren't wrong but you were lied to"?
Or simply "Let's agree that we were all lied to".

Yup. The message is still mildly abrasif and will not work knowing the snowflakes it is aimed at.
