People were seriously downvoting this? People need to be more aware that what used to be common knowledge is not so common in either younger generations or other parts of the world. We should not discourage people from asking genuine questions.
38 upvotes 1 downvote. Theres always going to be people who downvote things. Could be someone who doesn't realize that system isn't used everywhere, or maybe their app uses a swipe feature they haven't turned off. Sometimes when I scroll down I'll accidentally have it slide left or right and up/downvote something without me ever really noticing it happened. I wouldn't hate on all of Lemmy because 1 downvote though, seems overzealous
