It's tragic how many terrible things that President "Smokin' Diamond" Joe Biden has had to allow to pass because there simply isn't enough of a majority to overcome GOP opposition to everything. If only there were some common-sense bills could be passed, with bipartisan support, then maybe we could remember that this country is already great, mend the divide, and get back on track.

It's been a long running bit on this instance that when you open up the main page a little bit of text comes up at the top (like the splash text in Minecraft) these bits of text usually reference some old site injoke, an old struggle session or are occasionally just a famous quote of some historical socialist.
by refreshing the home page a few times I've found some examples for you:
When people say "new site tagline" they just mean they find the quote they're replying to funny and something that might deserve to be preserved in the collective memory of hexbear (for instance the Maoist cult copypasta was a bit posted by one of the old power users BMF who had a reputation for having a very solid understanding of communist theory but then posting incredibly deranged rants about things that were dumb with a 4chan-esque writing style and the posts being absolutely drenched in dozens of layers of irony - he gets banned from the site once every few months for being sectarian against anarchists, waits a month or so then creates another account and continues posting again in the same style under a different pseudonym)
